Foot Orthotics for Arch pain and Arch Strain

Arch Pain and Arch Strain

The term arch pain (often referred to as arch strain) refers to an inflammation and/or burning sensation at the arch of the foot. The plantar fascia is a broad band of fibrous tissue located along the bottom surface of the foot, that runs from the heel to the forefoot. Plantar fasciitis is caused by excessive stretching of the plantar fascia, usually due to over-pronation (flat feet). The inflammation caused by the plantar fascia being stretched away from the heel, often leads to pain in the heel and arch areas. The pain is often extreme in the morning when an individual first gets out of bed or after a prolonged period of rest. The primary cause of an arch pain is over pronation. This can be controlled via sports insoles.

Advantage of orthotics: Orthotics will control the amount of over pronation and thus reduce the pain associated with this condition.

Dr Foot's Sports Insoles

Having feet that are flat or pronated means that the arch of your foot is collapsed or lowered. This collapsing ofthe long arch of the foot can lead to arch pain. Misalignment of the fragile bones of the feet leads to arthritic pain, ligament destabilization, tendonitis and severe fascitis. Insoles (orthotics) are designed to raise the arch, realign the foot, reduce pain and distribute weight evenly which also minimizes strain to the knees and spine.

Dr Foot's Sports Insoles work wonders on problem-prone feet. These Insoles are biomechanically engineered to help relieve arch pain. The contoured shape supports your feet in two directions, both lengthwise and across the arch, for maximum relief of pain and fatigue. The special poron heel cushion built into the insole helps to reduce shock absorption. Dr Foot Sport Insoles are engineered to combat over pronation and provide greater stability and maximum support. Ideal for patients seeking arch support for the treatment of arch pain.

"I love the Dr Foot Sports Insoles! I am an avid runner, with over-pronation and a family history of foot and leg pain. The Dr Foot Sports Insoles make running possible for me. I've tried many other insoles and none of them work as well as Dr Foot. I'm currently training for my second marathon, and my Dr. Foot Sports Insoles are protecting me from injury. Thank you!"

"I would thoroughly recommend Dr. Foot's Sport Insoles to anyone with low arches or flat feet. They are ideal for walking around the city, but also for running, cycling and hill walking. I had avoided walking even short distances as my knees and ankles ached. Within one week of wearing the sport insoles I was so much more comfortable - it was amazing the difference the insoles made."
